Parents of gifted children need as much support as gifted children themselves. After all, it's the child's parents who recognize the child's giftedness first, and it's the parents who must be the primary advocate for their child. The pages in this section of our web site are intended to provide support and resources to these parents. Included are excerpts from the Gifted Child Society's newsletter, a listing of seminars that the Gifted Child Society has developed specifically for parents of gifted children, and a discussion forum where parents can share their experiences, concerns, and ideas. Just follow the links provided above.
The Gifted Child Society hosted a special Benefit Concert/Auction on Sunday, October 11, 2009, at the Guardian Angel Auditorium in Allendale, NJ with live performances by young gifted musicians, dancers and other artists. In addition to live performances, exclusive raffle baskets, a silent auction and a special 50/50 raffle drawing was held. All proceeds were used to provide educational enrichment and support services for gifted children in New Jersey, in grades pre-K through eighth.
