The Gifted Child Society offers seminars to parents in order to assist them in understanding, living with, and educating their gifted children. These seminars are provided in the evening hours (7:30 - 9:30 PM) at the Society's Glen Rock, New Jersey office.
Each Seminar: $20 per person or $35 per couple + $5 registration fee. Any 3 seminars: $50 per person or $90 per couple + $5 registration fee. For registration information, contact the Society by email.
The friendship factor investigates the importance of friends for the gifted child, and discusses theories related to gifted behavior and relationship building.
This hands on seminar will establish the importance of proper emotional regulation and need for stress management for gifted children. Various solutions will be discussed.
Do people sometimes say, "How lucky you are!" to have a gifted child? You respond affirmatively, yet wonder, "Why is it all so difficult?" The wonderful traits of giftedness will be explored as well as some of the potential problems that ensue.
